First and foremost, I attended General Conference. Listening to the Prophet and Apostles live really kick started my month. I am so grateful for this opportunity! I have watched General Conference many times throughout my life, but I have never felt the spirit more strongly as I did when I was in the presence of the prophet Thomas S. Monson and his counselors. As President Monson approached the pulpit to speak, my heart was racing to hear his words. Tears filled my eyes as the words of the prophet echoed throughout the conference center.
The most memorable experience happened during the intermediate hymn. I swear the conference center was shaking as the congregation of saints sang the words of “How Firm a Foundation.”
To say the
least, General Conference was AMAZING! It was the most beautiful day in
Salt Lake too!
After that crazy day I was SO ready to be home! Unfortunately, my road home was a lengthy one. My aunt was generous enough to get me a cheap standby ticket to fly home. I caught a shuttle from Rexburg to Salt Lake, and then from there I traveled to Long Beach where I caught a red eye flight to Boston. Once in Boston, I flew home safe and sound to Orlando. It felt great to be home! I missed my family and friends so much!
Although it
was really great seeing my family, I couldn’t wait to see my BOYFRIEND!!!
Justin is in the Marines so we don’t get to see each other often. Luckily, he
was able to take some time off to come to Florida and see me! Not seeing him
for 3 months was so hard, but it was worth it. We always have so much fun
together. I love him to pieces! J
I’ve been home for about 3 weeks now, and it’s about time I start working. I can only stay home doing nothing for so long. I recently received a call back for an internship at Clear Channel Radio. My interview is this week!!! I’m super excited, but a little bit nervous. April has been fun! I can’t wait to see what May will bring. Stay tuned!!!
