The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holds General Conference every 6 months.
It is held the first weekend in April and the first weekend in October. General
Conference is a time for us to hear inspiring words from our beloved prophet
and his apostles. All words are inspired from God and the prophet provides us
with counsel on how to improve our lives. Being in the presence of those men
called of God is a wonderful feeling. You can sense the feeling of the spirit
in the Conference Center. It testifies that what we are hearing is indeed true!
Of course this is only a brief description of what General Conference is, but I wouldn’t mind explaining it more in detail with anyone that wants to know more. J You can also visit Mormon.org or lds.org for more info.
One of the
highlights of this weekend was spent outside the Conference Center in Temple
Square. I just love seeing the Salt Lake Temple and all the beautiful scenery.
It was nice getting out of Rexburg for a couple days and not worry about
school. Every time I go to Salt Lake I always have fun. Here are some pictures
from the weekend.
